PawConnect Australia ("PawConnect", "we", "us") operates an online directory and connection platform that allows pet owners to discover and contact independent dog walkers, dog sitters and pet carers ("carers"). PawConnect is not a pet care provider, agency or employer.
We do not vet or verify carers
PawConnect does not employ, supervise, manage, endorse, recommend, certify, train, background check, police check, identity verify, reference check, insure, or guarantee any carer, their conduct, their qualifications or the quality, safety or suitability of any services they offer.
Information is self-submitted
All profile content and trust indicators — including any reference to identity, police checks, qualifications, certifications, first aid, experience or insurance — are self-submitted by users and displayed as supplied. They are not checked, confirmed or verified by PawConnect unless we expressly state otherwise in writing. Reviews and ratings reflect the opinions of the individuals who left them.
Your responsibility
Any arrangement is made directly between the pet owner and the independent carer. You are solely responsible for evaluating a carer, making your own enquiries, meeting them, checking any documents, qualifications or insurance, and deciding whether to engage them. We strongly recommend meeting a carer before leaving your pet in their care.
No liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PawConnect is not a party to, and accepts no responsibility or liability for, any interaction, arrangement, service, act or omission between owners and carers, including any loss, injury, damage or dispute that may arise. Nothing in this disclaimer excludes rights or guarantees you may have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.
